What is the one thing that God will not forgive?
After all, the Bible plainly explains that if we seek God‘s forgiveness, He will forgive sins such as lust, lying, and even murder. But, the one sin that God will not forgive is the sin of unbelief.
The Gospel of John is the story of Christ and the book’s theme, mentioned over 80 times, is “belief.”
To refuse to believe in Jesus‘ virgin birth, or His sinless life, or His substitutionary death, or His resurrection from the dead, or if you refuse to believe anything that the Scripture declares about Jesus, you then consign your own soul to eternal hell.
It’s been said that “People who go to hell have to step over the cross in order to get there.” Jesus has accomplished everything we need so that we can spend eternity in heaven with God.
The message of the gospel is a message of forgiveness of sin, but again, the one sin that God will not forgive is unbelief.
Acts 16:31, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.”
If you’ve already been saved, REJOICE in the day that you believed.
