This is a question that almost everyone asks themselves at some point. Often people will conclude that their purpose in life is their children; while others will say that their purpose in life is their spouse. However, not everyone has children, and not everyone is married, so the answer must be broader than that.
The Bible’s basic answer to, “What is the purpose of life?” is to give God glory in all that we do. And, the primary New Testament way to give God glory is to be focused on speaking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our kids, to our spouse, and to anyone with whom we come in contact.
Even a cursory look at the lives of Jesus' disciples in the New Testament reveals that the purpose of THIS LIFE is to lovingly and boldly explain the offer of ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ. Don't miss out on God's primary purpose for your life. Get involved in the ministry of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
Make it your purpose today to tell someone about the love of God through Jesus Christ for sinners such as us. Christian, this is God's purpose for you, not just today, but every day. Will you commit to tell at least one person the Gospel of Jesus Christ before you pillow your head tonight?
