When God Says "No"

Updated: Nov 18, 2022

God answers our prayers one of three ways: “yes,” “wait,” or “no.” When God says “yes,” we rejoice!

When God says “wait,” we learn patience.

When God says “no,” we are reminded that He is God. If God couldn’t say “no,” then He wouldn’t be God, we would be.

As our loving Father, He says “no” to His children and we submit to His will. As our King when He says “no,” we bow our knee.

In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul asks God three times to remove a thorn in his flesh and essentially, God says “no.” But, God told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for thee.”

Sometimes God says “no” to our request, but He says “YES” to sufficient grace to help in the time of need.

Take time today to REJOICE in God's abundant grace which is all around us, but is often overlooked.
